Membership
The International Birth and Wellness Project is a member driven health and wellness organization. We offer four membership levels.
Angel/Supporting Donor membership: If you believe in our work and our mission and wish to make a donation to support our non-profit work, we welcome your support and would recognize you as an Angel member.
Cost: $100 for new members, $75 for renewing members.
Standard Membership: If you are currently a student in our Childbirth educator training and Certification Program or have purchased a program but due to life circumstances have not been actively training over the last two years or if you have completed an IBWP program, you would be recognized as an affiliate member.
Cost: $75 for new members, $50 to renew your membership prior to its annual expiration.
Affiliate Membership: If you are a provider of well woman services (nurse, doula, midwife, lactation consultant, etc) and wish to be aligned with our organization and our mission you would be recognized as an affiliate member.
Cost: $50 for new members, $25 to renew your membership prior to its annual expiration.
Youth Membership: If you are 21 years or younger and would be recognized as a standard, affiliate, or Donor member, we are pleased to offer a discounted rate for your membership.
Cost: $25 for new and renewing members.
Volunteers & Interns
There’s lots to do at IBWP! From intern and volunteer opportunities to contributing writers and hosting a CBE workshop in your city. Here are a few ways to get involved!
• The Birth Well Journal: In honor of ALACE’s popular magazine called Special Delivery, the International Birth and Wellness Project is proud to announce the development of the magazines successor, Birth Well Journal! As we incorporate all that Special Delivery was, we are also working to broaden our minds to your input and ideas of what the Birth Well Journal should be.
• Honorable Mention: IBWP wants to honor the work and experiences of its members. Please share your stories with us. We’ll select four stories to be shared on our website and in The Birth Well Journal.
• Hosting a workshop: IBWP is coming to a city near you! Lots of members have asked and we’ve heard your request. We are seeking committed members to host a CBE workshop in the following areas. Washington DC, New York NY, Boston MA and Santa Monica CA.
• Volunteer and Internship opportunities: We’re looking for a few great folks to assist in the following area. Development/grant writing, curriculum and magazine editing, International research and networking and Programs assistants.
